CIS 181 IBM Mainframes ZOS Level I……3 credits
Fundamental knowledge and skills to begin using the basic functions of a mainframe computer. User interfaces of the z/OS mainframe operating system and the role of mainframes in today's business world. Tools, utilities and processes for developing a simple program to run on z/OS.
Prerequisites: CIS105 and CIS150, or permission of instructor.

CIS281 IBM Mainframe Z OS - Level II……3 credits
Examines the major categories of z/OS mainframe operating system interactive workloads such as transaction processing, database management and web-serving. Introduces z/OS system programming concepts including system libraries, security and network communications.
Prerequisites: CIS181, or permission of instructor
