Which Chemistry Class Should I Take?

If you aren’t a science major but need a lab science look into CHM 107.

CHM 107/107LL—Chemistry in Society

Ever wonder what global warming is?  And, what’s the deal with growing corn to make gasoline?  These questions and many you didn’t realize you had will be discussed in this class.

If you haven’t had chemistry in a while or you need a little more guidance before tackling College chemistry.

CHM 130/130LL—Introduction to chemistry
This is the beginning of chemistry.  Take this class to prepare for college chemistry. 

Prerequisites: None
Recommended prerequisites:  Intermediate Algebra

Your ready for chemistry.  All your atoms have looked to this day.

CHM 150/152 and labs.

This is University (General) Chemistry.  At Estrella we offer the CHM 150 class because it provides more time with the instructor and adds a credit hour to the class for the same information.

Prerequisites:  Successful completion of CHM 130 or high school chemistry within the last 5 years and intermediate algebra. 
Recommended prerequisites: College Algebra and CHM 130 or AP chemistry with a “C” or better.

You haven’t had enough.  Chemistry is in your bones and you need a fix.

CHM 235/236 and labs.
Organic chemistry!  You will never look at ingredient labels the same way again.

Prerequisites:  Successful completion of CHM 152 and Lab.
