How To Send Email In
Blackboard
This tutorial covers how you can send email to your instructor or classmates within Maricopa’s Blackboard.
Step 1. From the Blackboard menu on the left hand side of your screen click on the Communication link.

Step 2. You should see the screen below. Click on Send E-mail.

Step 3. It is recommended that you choose Select Users, this allows you to verify and select only the users you wish to receive a copy of the email message. Another option is Select Groups. You would select this option to communicate only with those students with whom you are working with as a group.

Step 4. Click the check box by the name of the person you wish to email.

Step 5. Enter a Subject heading then enter your message; always use proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Step 6. To add any attachments click the Add button then do the following:
Click Browse to locate your file.
Select the file you wish to attach.
Click Open.
Click Submit.
Click Submit again.
After you click the second submit, you will see a new screen verifying that your message has been sent.
