The NASA Center is the cornerstone for math & science initiatives that are supported by Estrella Mountain.  In addition, the Center serves as a vital link for under-represented students as they successfully prepare for technical careers. Students, their families and other community members are welcomed into the Center through coordinated outreach efforts. This establishes the Center as a location for the community to further their pursuit of career areas requiring emphasis in math and science. This collaborative endeavor:

Provides K-12 educators (pre-service and in-service) professional development opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics  (STEM) areas
Provides K-12 outreach programs designed to inspire students to pursue educational disciplines in STEM
