| Supplemental Instruction is a tutor facilated group study that is offered in conjunction with certain courses each semester. A trained tutor who is knowledgeable about the subject area leads a group session to focus on difficult concepts and problems in the course. Supplemental Instruction meetings are free and voluntary; you can attend as the sessions as set for you. Research has shown that students who participate in several Supplemental Instruction sessions generally do better in their courses.
For the Fall 2009 semester, LEC is piloting Supplemental Instruction groups :
