Maricopa Community College University Transfer Pathway Degree Advisement Check Sheets

The Maricopa County Community College District offers several degree options. The degrees/pathways: (Associate in Arts, Associate in Business, and Associate in Science) are designed for students who plan to transfer to Arizona's public universities into majors that articulate with the appropriate degree pathway. Each degree/pathway transfers as a block without loss of credit to Arizona's public universities. All semester credits used to satisfy the MCCCD pathways will apply to university graduation requirements of the university major for which the degree was designed.

Maricopa Community College General Studies Degree Advisement Check Sheet
The degree is recommended for students whose educational goals require flexibility. The AGS allows students to choose any elective courses numbered 100 and above to complete the degree. Therefore, this degree may be less appropriate for students who intend to transfer to a baccalaureate-granting institution.

Estrella Mountain Community College Associate in Applied Science Degrees and Certificates

AAS degrees are designed to assist the student in developing technical skills to prepare to enter the workforce in a chosen occupation.  AAS degrees may be transferred to a university in specific degree plans designed for this purpose (typically Bachelor of Applied Science degrees) but may have limited transferability to most baccalaureate degrees.  Certificates of completion (CCL) are recommended for students who wish to gain a depth of technical expertise by completing a career & technical program without completing general studies requirements.

NOTE: The check sheets below are for the most current version of the program.  Please contact an EMCC Advisor for former year check sheets.
