Report Heading:

Logo:

The Maricopa logo will be printed in the upper left hand corner of the first page of all reports that contain data for all colleges.  For reports that display individual college’s data, the logo of the college may be displayed in the upper left corner.  Logos must not be skewed.

Page Heading:

Run, Print, RDS time/date:

The run time and date (called data time and date in Crystal Reports) will be in the upper right corner of all reports.  Below the run date will be the print time and date.  If the report’s data source is RDS, the RDS table creation time and date may be printed below the Print time/date.  These are all 8-point type

Report ID

The Report ID is made up of three parts, the Institution developing/supporting the report, the module the report references and a sequential number (i.e. MCCD_FA_0001 or GCC_SR_0230).  The Report ID should be displayed in bold in the upper left of the report, below the logo with the words ‘Report ID:’ preceding it.

Title:

The report title will be centered at the top of all pages and will be text box containing the Report Title.  It will be bold and in at least 12 point type.

Sub-Headings

Column Headings:

The column headings will be in the same size type as the detail data and if there is room, bold.  A 1 (one) point horizontal line may be placed under the headings

Group Heading:

Group level fields will be in the same size type as the detail data and bold

Detail data:

The body data will be in 8 to 10 point type depending on the amount of data to be displayed and page size. 

Summary:

Summary lines will be in the same size type as the detail data

Page Footing:

At the bottom of each page will be the page number and total number of pages in 8-point type (i.e. 1 of 5)

If the report is PeopleSoft delivered, the PS name should appear at the left of the first page after the word ‘Replaces’.  If the report has had modifications, the words ‘with modifications’ should follow the PS report number (i.e. Replaces PS - FA701 with modifications).  If the report has not had modifications, the words ‘as delivered’ should follow the PS report number (i.e. Replaces PS - FA701 as delivered).

If the report is a Legacy SIS report, the legacy name should appear at the left of the first page after the word ‘Replaces’.  If the legacy had several options, the option that the report replaces should be listed after the report name (i.e. Replaces RBA024:10).

Optional: List the report parameters on the first page of the report.

Report Footing:

(Optional) At the end of the report will be the total number of records in 8-point type (i.e. Number of Records:  XX)

Formatting:

  Numbers

    Integers – Leading minus sign, with commas    

    Currency – Floating $ sign, commas and parenthesis for negatives

  Dates – MM/DD/YYYY

Record Counts

  Use a Running Total field to generate the record count in the report footer.

Connectivity: 

The preferred method of connection to databases for reporting is OLE DB, not ODBC.
