New Student Information System (SIS) Training
Our campus CIT team is busy developing training and refining business processes in order to meet the needs of our students, faculty, and staff. There is still much to be done and everyone can help by...
1. Completing the FERPA Tutorial at http://www.maricopa.edu/legal/ferpa/ferpa_tutorial/ferpatutorial.htm
2. Attending any upcoming, relevant training. These will be announced over email and will include division chair and division secretary training, enrollment training, student self-service training, as well as faculty training.
3. Practice, Practice, Practice: Student services is working on providing practice accounts that will mirror your actual access in the new system. As soon as they are in place, they will let you know.
New SIS College Training Dates (Everyone welcomed- sessions for first time or refresher)
The dates for upcoming training sessions are on the Employee Calendar (R25 Employee WebViewer) link on the Calendars & Schedules webpage located at the top of the Estrella Mountain Community College home page. Just type the words "New SIS" in the Event Quick Search selection box on the right and click the go button. Then scroll down the page for the upcoming dates listed in bold.
Most trainings will be held in Estrella Hall Room 252 from about 2:00pm-5:00pm. For more information please contact Lauren Shellenbarger (x58808).

Enrollment I & II These trainings are for those SIS users who use the SIS system to enroll students into Credit, Non-Credit, and Clock Hour classes:

- Admitting a student into the system (Quick Admit)
- Registering students for classes
- Calculating tuition
- Helpful hints so that you can be successful
Enrollment II topics:
- Service Indicators (holds and such)
- Looking up test scores
- Adding classes
- Dropping classes
- Looking up grades
