Dear Student, Welcome to Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC)! We are pleased that you have enrolled in one or more classes with us. This letter provides guidance on accessing your required orientation and class (es), along with valuable information on EMCC’s student access to campus technology and learning support services.

You must complete the following steps in order to access your required orientation, course(s) and the computer network. All of this can be done from the My.Maricopa.edu web site.

  1. My.Maricopa.edu: http://my.maricopa.edu/student-center/index.php Go to the student-center web site to set up your required Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) and password.

    First time users click on this link https://eims.maricopa.edu/MAW/MAW.html

    You will use your MEID and password to access My.Maricopa.edu and Blackboard, the course management system where your orientation and course work is located. If you encounter any problems, need to use a computer, or have any technical questions, please call or visit our excellent staff at the Information Commons.   2. GoogleApps@Maricopa: Estrella Mountain uses Google apps e-mail as the official student e-mail to send communication concerning class enrollment, financial aid, tuition due dates and other important student information.
    1. Click on the GoogleApps@Maricopa tab located on the My.Maricopa.edu site
    2. Create your GoogleApps account. http://my.maricopa.edu/student-center/index.php

    Google Apps@Maricopa is a set of communication tools that includes email, a personal website, chat, and allows the ability to create and share documents, spreadsheets, presentations and calendars in a collaborative fashion. You can start using your e-mail accounts immediately through my.maricopa.edu. We encourage all students to check their new student e-mail regularly or forward their student e-mail to a personal e-mail to ensure that all official college communication is received.

    Your new student e-mail is available immediately and will use your MEID for the address @maricopa.edu:

    Example: MEID@maricopa.edu or ANN1234567@maricopa.edu
    Online Access: www.My.maricopa.edu click on GoogleApps
     

  3. Log in to Blackboard, complete the Orientation, and access your courses, your course will be available on your course start date, not before;
    1. Go to My.Maricopa.edu web site, click the ‘more online resources’ link
    2. Under e-course login, Click Blackboard, enter your MEID and password
    3. New students click and complete the Orientation.
    4. Hybrid and Online students click on your course(s) and complete the Learner Responsibilities module.

  4. Successful college learners are proactive in seeking assistance from EMCC’s learning support services. Please take a few moments to watch the 8 minute Learner Support Services video, and in exploring the services listed on the Student Learning support webpage.
