Login to WinXP
To WinXP (Active Directory different than Blackboard)
To log into any of EMCC’s computers, your username
will consist of the 1st two letters
of first name, 1st three letters of
last name, and last three of Social Security Number (SSN). Your password is your last name, with the 1st
letter capitalized. You will be prompted to change your password upon initial
login. You will not be able to log onto
our network using MACs.
Ex: Joe
Smith with a SSN of 123-45-6789, his username and password would be:
Username:
josmi789
Password: Smith
(password is case sensitive)

Login to Blackboard
Step 1. Click the Blackboard
link from your College Homepage Or go to www.maricopa.edu/blackboard
Step 2.
Click
the blue
button below the college links.

Step 3.
On
the UserID Lookup screen, click on
the words, ![]()

Step 4. If you see the
following screen, you are at the right place!
Click the “First Visit? Discover your
MEID and Set Your Password” link.

Step 5. At the Maricopa Enterprise ID
Lookup screen, follow the prompts to:
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Zip Code.
- Enter your Social Security Number OR
Birth Date.
- Click Next.
Step 6. At the Set Password and
Challenge Questions screen, you will see your MEID in a blue box. This is your Maricopa Enterprise ID you will
need to login to Blackboard.
Step 7. Follow the prompts on the screen to:
- Set your password. Note the rules.
- Set your Challenge Questions. Be sure to select questions and answers you
will remember. You will need them if you
need to reset or change your password in the future.
- Click Submit.
Step 8. At the Summary of updates screen, you can click the link to login to
Blackboard.

Make note on
the passport card of your MEID and password as you will need them every time
you login to Blackboard.
Login to Blackboard
1.
Open your browser
and enter this URL in the address line of your browser:
http://www.maricopa.edu/blackboard
2.
Select your
college.
3.
Enter your Maricopa
Enterprise ID and Password; then click Login.

4.
Blackboard’s My
Institution screen will display.
This is your Blackboard “Home Page.”
The courses you are taking which are using Blackboard will be listed on
the right side of the screen under My Courses.
From here you can click the link for the course you wish to enter.

Enter Your Email Address in Blackboard
In order for you to use Email
in Blackboard for communication with your instructor, it is very important for you to have a valid email address and you must
enter your email address in the Blackboard system.
If you do not have an email
address, you may sign up with a free service.
Here are a few sites where you can get a free email account:
1.
Login to
Blackboard. The first screen you will
see is the My Institution screen.
2.
Click on the Personal Information link in the Tools
palette.

Click Edit
Personal Information.

4.
Enter your Email Address.
5.
Scroll down to
the bottom of the screen and click Submit.
6.
Click OK twice to return to the My
Institution screen.
Maintain Your Maricopa
1.
Open your browser and go to: 2.
Enter your MEID and Password and Login if you want
to edit your account information or change your password.
Whenever
you wish to update your Maricopa Enterprise Account information or if you wish
to change your password, you will use the Student Personal Administration Tool
(SPAT).

OR
Click the appropriate link if you have forgotten your MEID or Password.

Send
an email to your Instructor
Step 1.
From the Blackboard menu on the left hand side of your screen click on the Communication
link.

Step 2. Click on Send E-mail

Step
3. It is recommended that you choose Select Users,
this allows you to verify and select only the users you wish to receive a copy
of the email message. Another option is Select Groups. You would select
this option to communicate only with those students with whom you are working
with as a group.

Step
4. Click the check box by the name of the person
you wish to email.

Step 5.
Enter a subject heading then enter your message; always use proper
grammar, punctuation and spelling

Step 6.
To add any attachments click the Add button then do the following:

Click
Browse to locate your file
·
Select
the file you wish to attach
·
Click
Open
·
Click
Submit
·
Click
Submit again
After you click the second submit, you
will see a new screen verifying that your message has been sent
