A new Word document
will appear on your screen.
The Office 2007 redesign includes some radical new interface elements aimed at making it easier to find the features you need and execute tasks more efficiently. The most important of these new elements is the Ribbon, which offers task-oriented tabs with commands readily available instead of hiding in a menu structure.
The following picture shows parts of the Word 2007 window.

With the Home
tab selected, click the Center button to center your title.

You can now type

To
copy text in Microsoft Word you highlight the text by clicking and dragging
over the text you want to copy. Let’s select the sentence that starts with To enter, then click on
Copy
on the Clipboard.

The Spell Checker will open
up a window with the word you typed and the suggested word it should be. Choose Keying
and click Change

When saving a document, it should
be saved to a disc or another location. Choose the Save As on the Office button.
You may choose to save as Word 97-2003
Document if you do not have Word 2007 at home.

The Save As dialog box appears as shown.

In the File Name box type the title of your document. Click the down arrow to the right of the Save in box and choose the drive where you want your saved document to be placed. Then complete the process by choosing the Save button. This concludes our Microsoft Word 2007 Basics tutorial.
