Supplemental Instruction is a tutor facilated group study that is offered in conjunction with certain courses each semester. A trained tutor who is knowledgeable about the subject area leads a group session to focus on difficult  concepts and problems in the course. Supplemental Instruction meetings are free and voluntary; you can attend as often as you like. Research has shown that students who participate in several Supplemental Instruction sessions generally do better in their courses.

For the Fall 2008 semester, LEC is piloting Supplemental Instruction groups :

Supplemental Instruction for ESL, Basic Writing & Reading groups led by Michelle Paleo every day 10am to 11am and noon-1pm.
