ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY (ASU)
College of Teacher Education and Leadership (CTEL)
ASU provides teacher education programs at all of its campuses: Tempe, West,
Polytechnic, and Downtown. Degree programs are available in Early Childhood
Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, and Secondary Education.
Teach West is a teacher preparation partnership with Estrella Mountain Community
College, Arizona State University Professional Development School (PDS), and
Avondale Elementary School District. This program enables students to finish
their degree in 3˝ years in the west valley. Cohorts begin every 18 months.

GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY (GCU)
College of
Education – Transfer Degrees
Grand Canyon University and all Maricopa Community Colleges, including EMCC,
provide 3+1 degree programs. Students earn an AAEE degree, then take an
additional 24 credits at EMCC for a total of 84 transfer credits. The remaining
36 credits are taken at GCU leading to a Bachelor of Science in

NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY (NAU)
NAU-EMCC Teacher Education Program
This partnership offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education
with an emphasis in Early Childhood. All classes are located in the west valley
in the evening. Programs begin every fall semester. For more information, please

OTTAWA UNIVERSITY (OU)
Ottawa University – Arizona
Ottawa University offers Bachelor degrees in Elementary and Secondary Education
at their Phoenix campus located at I-17 and Dunlap. Ottawa University accepts
the AAEE and AA transfer degrees from all Maricopa Community Colleges.
UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA (UofA)
College of Education
The University of Arizona in Tucson offers Bachelor degrees in Early Childhood
Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Special Education. The
U of A accepts the AAEE and AA transfer degrees from all Maricopa Community
Colleges.
UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX (U of Phx)
College of
Education
University of Phoenix offers a 2+2 transfer degree. Students earn an Associate’s
degree from EMCC, then transfer to the U of Phx to complete their Bachelor of
Science degree in Elementary Education. This is the only undergraduate degree
the University of Phoenix offers.
Master of Arts degrees are available in Early Childhood Education, Secondary
Education, and Special Education. If you currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in
any area, you can earn a Master’s degree in Elementary Education as well. For
