Fire Science
FSC102 Fire Department Operations is offered to qualified students that have met the admission criteria. Upon successful completion of the class, students will test for the “Firefighter I and II” certification issued by the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence (AZCFSE).
Class Information:
FSC 102 Fire Department Operations
Tuesday/Thursday 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Classes will be held at the Estrella Mountain campus and at the Avondale/Goodyear Training Academy.
Pre-requisites:
EMT104 Emergency Medical Technology
FSC105 Hazardous Materials/First Responder
FSC134 Fitness and Conditioning for Firefighters
(FSC134 can be taken concurrently)
Current CPAT (within 6 months of starting the academy)
*Class participation requires fire department sponsorship.
