How do I create a Personal Action Request (PAR)?

  • Department creates the PAR, obtain Supervisors Signature and brings to EMCC HR office (Do no hesitate to contact EMCC HR @ DL-EMC-HumanResources for help with the PAR)
  • HR checks PAR for completion of information and forwards it for remaining signatures
  • After President signs the PAR it is returned to the EMCC HR Office
  • PAR is sent to the campus Business Manager for approval and signature
  • PAR is returned to HR for final review and is forwarded to District Employee Services for final processing

How do I create a RPS?

  • Department has new employee complete the NEW HIRE PACKET at the Human Resources office
  • Department waits until the NEW HIRE PACKET gets processed and Human Resources sends the Department the new employee’s ID number
  • Department creates the RPS for the new employee and obtains signatures.

  • Department turns the completed RPS into EMCC Human Resources
  • EMCC HR processes the RPS
  • EMCC HR sends the RPS to Jim Mitter in Business Services
  • EMCC HR sends proper copies or originals of the New Hire Packet to district representatives

USCIS Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify): Does MCCCD –EMCC participate in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Social Security Administration E-Verify Program?

Yes MCCCD –EMCC participates in the E-Verify program and complies with the federal law which requires all employers to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States.  The employer will provide SSA and, if necessary, DHS with information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. Why does an employee have to complete a Form I-9, Employee Eligibility Verification?

To document that each new employee (both citizen and non citizen) hired after November 6, 1986, and working in the United states is authorized to work in the Unites States.

I have a new Adjunct Faculty this semester, how do they get their MEID's?

Once they come in and complete the necessary paperwork we’ll request for their e-mail/active directory to be set up. You’ll be cc’d in the request.
