Conference Center

Although EMCC functions have first priority, when unoccupied, the Conference Center is available for rent to the public during normal business hours. EMCC is officially closed at 1:00 pm on Saturdays.
The Conference Center offers meeting space for your business, school, committees, or staff to have meetings (with or without snacks or meals), training sessions, or all-employee type functions. Maximum seating capacity around the open-center style conference table is 32 people; however 8 of them would not be able to easily view AV presentations so plan accordingly. Two tables are provided inside your meeting area for food and beverage service. A galley style kitchen is adjacent to the room with a sink, long counters and pass-thru doors to the meeting room.
In addition to the meeting room and kitchen, the Conference Center offers a private outdoor patio area with tables and chairs for 28 people. Cobblestone paving and trees provide many months of comfortable use. This area would be especially useful for the lunch portion of your meeting, or as a breakout area for small group work.
For group projects, or planning, a work room with a huge counter for spreading out projects is also provided with your rental.
Located close to parking on the south side of Komatke Hall and along Thomas Road, the Conference Center has its own separate entrance to the meeting room through the corner patio area. |
