How to Book an Event
General Information
Although EMCC functions have first priority, when unoccupied, space is available for rent to the public during normal business hours. EMCC is officially closed at 1:00 pm on Saturdays. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to offer space for personal events like weddings, birthdays, and graduation parties. Nor can we accommodate frequently recurring meetings.
We welcome visitors who wish to inspect spaces before making a rental decision.
A signed Facility Use Agreement and Certificate of Insurance are required before your event begins. The agreement specifies what room you have rented, the date, time (including setup and teardown time), room setup, and audiovisual equipment included. The insurance specifics can be found on a link in the side bar.

Audiovisual Equipment for Rent
Audiovisual equipment available for rent varies by room, but includes a wide range of popular equipment including laptops and projector, TV/VCR, computer with internet access, document camera, audio-conferencing equipment, and sound system.
The North Community Room offers rental of a full-size computer with an in-wall rear projection screen (12’x9’).
The South Community Room offers an automatic screen and does not have a sound system. However, in the SCR you won't need sound due to its size.
Podium, 1st microphone, easels, and flip charts are included in the rental fee, but must be requested in advance.

Caterers
Although we have a list of caterers who have been at EMCC before and are familiar with our layout and policies, you are welcome to contract with any caterer you desire. We request you have them contact us for parking and access information.
Should you choose to prepare your own meals, or use takeout service, feel free to make full use the kitchen.
Conference Rooms Available
Conference Rooms for rent vary in size and technology. Our smallest will accommodate 10 people, our largest 32. A final choice for lectures will accommodate 70 people and is called the Plaza Gallery—it can only be setup in theater or dining style. Please call for more information.
Kitchen Available
A galley-style kitchen is available for use with your Community Room rental, regardless of which side of the room you rent. The kitchen is attached to the NCR, with direct access from that room, and exterior access for the SCR renter. It is equipped with an industrial size icemaker, regular size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and sink for your convenience. You will need to bring all cooking, cleaning and serving supplies yourself--except for paper towels and trash cans, which are provided.
Room Setup Options
Normal setup in the Community Room is in clusters—think dining style. A cluster consists of two tables bumped together in a 48" square with one to eight upholstered chairs surrounding the cluster. Other setup requirements can be met, at an additional fee. Note that the entire community room arranged in a special setup doubles the setup fee.
Setup variations may not be available for evening and Saturday events due to scheduling conflicts. Please click on the link for cluster variations and other chair and table arrangements.
