"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead (1901-1977), anthropologist photo: Peace Sign, Nicosia, Cyprus--border between Greek Cypriot side and occupied Turkish side on the island of Cyprus Following Olga's Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Cornell University, Olga Tsoudis received her Ph.D. at the University of Arizona in Sociology in 1995. She then moved to Detroit Michigan for her first faculty position in the Department of Criminal Justice at Wayne State University. After becoming tenured at Wayne State, she left it all for a return to the sun in 2002. ASU West hired her as a Visiting Professor in Criminal Justice. Her enthusiasm for teaching and passion for student activities led Olga to her current position as a residential faculty member in Sociology at Estrella Mountain Community College. Over the years, Olga has been quite involved in student events and planning programs for campus communities. One of her greatest passions is becoming involved in issues focusing on equality for all social groups! Professor Tsoudis promotes community involvement and social awareness! The SOCIAL AWARENESS CLUB has been an active club focusing on various social issues, awareness, and tolerance. Professor Tsoudis served as the Advisor during the last two years. If you are interested in the club and becoming involved in social issues, please contact Herschel Jackson in Student Life.
