EMCC Schedule of Classes Management Tools for New SIS

How to Check Academic Groups & Organizations
Using SIS Course Catalog

Each course record must be assigned the correct Academic Group and Academic Organization in the new SIS Course Catalog for class data to convert correctly and import into R25 (Resource 25).  Use these steps to check Academic Groups & Organizations in the SIS Course Catalog.

*SIS Path: Curriculum Management> Course Catalog> Catalog Summary

1) Choose Institution (example: EMC10)
2) Enter Subject Area (example: HES)
3) Click yellow Search button. [May need to use View All]
4) Click on a link to a Subject Area/Catalog Nbr (example: HES 100)
5) Proof read course offering results for your institution. See example below:

(Note in this example the EMC10 Acad Group EMCAD (EMC All Divisions) is incorrect; the correct Academic Group for this course should be FITPE (Fitness and Physical Education.)

6) Click yellow Return to Search button & repeat above for each Subject Area/Catalog Nbr.

7) Report any discrepancies to college curriculum office.

Also can run report:  MCCD_CU_0032 Academic Groups Report
(Identifies all existing academic groups for an institution)

*Employees may need to contact their college security administrator(s) for job-related access to the SIS, BOExi and R25 systems.
