WELCOME TO VOICE MESSAGING

The Voice Messaging Center and its full range of services can be accessed by dialing 18866 from any MCCCD phone.

To access the center from outside, dial (480)731-8866 and press # to identify yourself as a subscriber.

The Voice Messaging Center lets you perform these functions:
Listen to your Voice Mail messages
Create and send Voice Mail messages to others
Transfer Voice Mail messages
Change or create your personal greeting

NAVIGATION SHORTCUTS

The * Key:  Press * to cancel or backup to the previous menu. If you make a mistake when entering a mailbox number or recording, press *.  Pressing * several times will disconnect you.
The # Key:  Press # to complete, skip or send. You can skip personal greetings and introductory prompts by pressing #.  An Extended Absence Greeting, however, cannot be skipped.
Fast Delete:  While listening to a message, you may quickly fast forward and delete it by pressing 3 - 3 - 7.

CREATE/CHANGE YOUR PERSONAL GREETING
1.  Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
2.  Enter your password.
3.  Press 4.
4.  Press 3.
5.  Press 1.
6.  Press 2 to record your personal greeting.
7.  After the tone, record your greeting.
8.  Press #.
9.  Press 1 to replay your greeting. If necessary, press * to re-record your greeting.
10. Press # if you are satisfied.
11. Press ** to disconnect.

SET UP YOUR PHONE TO SEND CALLS TO VOICE MAIL (from your phone only)
You can set up your phone to automatically send calls to voice mail when you are on the phone (FWD-BY for Forward Busy) or when you are away from your desk (FWD-NA for Forward No Answer) to voice mail.  You can also choose to send all calls (FWD-ALL for Forward All) to voice mail.  Follow these steps for each kind of call:   
1.  Lift the handset or press Speaker or to receive a dial tone.
2.  Press FWD-NA (Forward-No Answer), or FWD-BY (Forward Busy) or FWD-ALL (Forward-All).
3.  Broken dial tone is heard.
4.  Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
5.  Service-set tone is heard; the display indicates FORWARD SET and the selected FWD- button lights in red.
6.  Press Speaker or return handset to cradle.
7.  Repeat steps 1-6 for the other FWD- buttons as necessary.

CANCEL SENDING OF CALLS TO VOICE MAIL (from your phone only)
1.  Lift the handset or press Speaker or to receive a dial tone.
2.  Press FWD-NA (Forward-No Answer), or FWD-BY (Forward Busy) or FWD-ALL (Forward-All).
3.  Service-set tone is heard; the display indicates FORWARD CANCEL and the selected FWD- button light goes off.
4.  Press Speaker or return handset to cradle.
5.  Repeat steps 1-6 for the other FWD- buttons as necessary.

REVIEW YOUR MESSAGES (VMM appears on your phone display)
1.  Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
2.  Enter your password.
3.  Press 1 to review new messages.
4.  Listen to message. While the message is playing, you may press the following numbers to:
       1 - Rewind (1-1 rewind to beginning)
       2 - Pause (2 again restarts)
       3 - Fast forward (3-3 forward to end)
       4 - Slower speed (depress for two seconds)
       5 - Envelope Information
       6 - Faster speed (depress for two seconds)
       8 - Normal volume
       9 - Louder volume
       # - Skip to next message
       * - Cancel message review
5.  When the message ends, select the next instruction by pressing one of the following numbers: 
       4 - Replay Message 
       5 - Envelope Information
       6 - Send a Copy
       7 - Erase Message
       8 - Reply (to internal callers only)
       9 - Save Message
6.  Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each message.
7.  Press ** to disconnect.

CREATE AN EXTENDED ABSENCE GREETING
1.  Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
2.  Enter your password.
3.  Press 4.
4.  Press 3.
5.  Press 2.
6.  After the tone record your greeting indicating you will be gone and not checking your messages.
7.  Press #.
8.  Press 1 to replay. If necessary, press * to re-record greeting.
9.  Press # if satisfied.
10. Press ** to disconnect.
Note: When you return and call the Voice Messaging Center to receive your messages, you will be prompted to delete the extended absence greeting. It will then be replaced by your personal greeting.

CREATE/CHANGE YOUR RECORDED NAME
1. Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
2. Enter your password.
3. Press 4.
4. Press 3.
5. Press 3.
6. After the tone, record your first and last name.
8. Press #.
9. Press 1 to replay your greeting. If necessary, press * to re-record your greeting.
10. Press # if you are satisfied.
11. Press ** to disconnect.

CREATE AND SEND A MESSAGE
1.  Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
2.  Enter your password.
3.  Press 2.
4.  After the tone record your message.
5.  Press #.
6.  Enter the mailbox (the five digit extension) number of the person to receive the message.
       Delivery Options:
       1 - Private
       2 - Urgent
       3 - Message Confirmation
       4 - Future Delivery
7.  Press # to send the message. (When sending to multiple mailboxes repeat steps 6 and 7.)
8.  Press ** to disconnect.

CREATE A DISTRIBUTION LIST
1.  Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
2.  Enter your password.
3.  Press 4.
4.  Press 2.
5.  Press 2.
6.  Press 1.
7.  Assign the list a number between 11-20.
8.  Assign the list a name.
9.  Press #.
10. Enter the mailbox numbers.
11. Press ** to disconnect.

CREATE AND SEND A MESSAGE TO DISTRIBUTION LIST
1.  Dial the Voice Messaging Center number: 18866.
2.  Enter your password.
3.  Press 2.
4.  After the tone record your message.
5.  Press #.
6.  Enter the list number.
7.  Press # to send.
8.  Press ** to disconnect.
