What if the class is full?

Sign up early as class sizes are limited.  If the class you want to take is full, contact Community Education at (623)535-2800 to be placed on a waiting list. On occasion, a second class may be formed if there are enough names on the list.

What if a class cancels?

Non-credit courses are self-supporting and all course related expenses are paid from student registration fees. Courses that do not meet a minimum student enrollment are subject to cancellation. If that should happen, every effort will be made to notify you by telephone to transfer you to another section, find you an alternate course, or process your refund.

Will I receive confirmation?

Calls are made several days before the class is scheduled to start to let you know if the class made, or if it was canceled. When registering, please confirm your contact information. Obtain a receipt by calling the Cashier's Office at (623)935-8888. If you would like to confirm your class or class location, call (623)535-2800 or send us an email via the 'Contact Us' link on the left.

Where are classes held?

Most classes are held at EMCC Main campus, unless otherwise noted. Locations listed as TBA will usually be held on the Main campus and students will be notified 1-2 days prior to the class as to the location and room number. You can also check back here a few days prior to class for updated room numbers.

Are there age requirements?

You must be at least 15 years to register for a non-credit course, unless otherwise noted. Summer Kids College classes are for children ages 6-14 and each class has its own age requirement.

Supplies and Textbooks

Some classes have required or optional supplies and books in addition to the course fee which is noted in the course description. Art supply lists are linked to the class course description. On occasion courses are cancelled for low enrollment. Prior to investing in new materials, call Community Education at (623)535.2800 one week prior to the start date to verify class status.

What is the refund policy?

Class costs and fees will be refunded in full for classes canceled by EMCC. Class costs and fees will also be refunded if students withdraw from a class the day before the first class meeting.  Failure to attend class does not guarantee being withdrawn or being eligible for a refund.  Responsibility for withdrawing remains with the students. Students may withdraw from a class by contacting Admissions and Records in person or by telephone at (623) 935-8888.

What about parking?

Well-lit parking is located around the perimeter of the campus. Emergency call phones that ring directly to College Safety are located in parking areas. Buildings are accessible with convenient handicap parking. You do not have to pay to park at EMCC. Parking permits are not required for one day classes. For classes that meet more than once a semester, please contact College Safety at (623) 935-8915 to determine if you need to obtain a parking permit.

Special Services

Students who require any special services should contact the Disability Resource Center at (623) 935-8935 for more information on these services at least two weeks prior to class.
