Pharmacy Technician Test Preparation Program

The Pharmacy Technician Test Preparation Program is a 72 hour course designed to teach students the fundamentals and particulars of being a pharmacy technician. The program is geared towards a variety of students including those interested in becoming pharmacy technicians, pre-pharmacy students, or those with a healthcare background looking to strengthen their current skills. This class introduces students to various pharmacy practice settings and covers drug classes, basic physiology, drug interactions, and daily pharmacy operations. This program trains individuals to effectively assist in pharmaceutical preparations and complete daily required tasks in any pharmacy environment, although on the job training is still a crucial part of the educational process. All classes are taught by an interim licensed or practicing Registered Pharmacist or Doctor of Pharmacy who brings real life experience to the classroom. A Recognition of Completion document is granted upon successful completion. There will be no classes held the week of March 10 through March 15; or Saturday March 22. Classes will resume as scheduled Tuesday, March 25 and Saturday, March 29.

Refund Policy

Class fees will be refunded in full for classes canceled by EMCC. Class fees will also be refunded if students withdraw from a class the day before the first class meeting.  Failure to attend class does not guarantee being withdrawn or being eligible for a refund.  Responsibility for withdrawing remains with the students. Students may withdraw from a class by contacting Admissions and Records in person or by telephone at (623) 935-8888.
