A Fast & Easy Twist On Walls

You won’t believe how easy it is to achieve fabulous walls– and you did it!  Learn what you were never taught on the decorating videos.  A professional faux painter shares her shortcuts and secrets and you learn, hands on.  Just come dressed to paint for hands–on learning.  And you thought it took a lot of work to beautify a wall!  It just takes a twist of the wrist (and tricks of the trade your instructor will share).

Basic Beading

Create your own beautiful jewelry. Learn the different techniques required for beading. Each student will fashion a necklace and matching bracelet using specialty glass beads. Tools and beads will be provided for the student. A perfect mother/daughter activity.

Basic Hat Making

This beginning hat making class is designed for those who want to create their own hat. In this introductory class, you will learn the foundations of hat making. Each student will create a design and decorate their own crowning creation. Michelle Flowers has been making and teaching hat makings for over 15 years.

Beginning Sewing

Welcome to the world of sewing! This is an exciting and fun place to be. There is nothing more wonderful than the feeling of pride you get when you create something yourself. Beginning Sketching and Drawing

In this enjoyable four-week class, we'll work our way through a number of exercises designed to train the eye, hand and imagination to work as a unit (or a team). You'll learn about shapes and shading; learn how to look at things as an artist and draw what you see more accurately; and more. This class provides an enjoyable, step-by-step introduction to drawing for people who have not drawn before or would like a refresher in the basics. Instructor is a professional artist. Nothing to bring or buy; all materials are provided.

Beginning Stained Glass

You will learn the techniques of copper foil with the traditional leaded method. Technique is strongly emphasized so students have a good basic background and working knowledge to make a variety of projects after the class is finished. Two pieces are usually completed by the end of the 5th session. Bring your own tools: glass cutter, breaking pliers, soldering iron, tack hammer, horseshoe nails or pins, permanent felt tip marker, a lightweight work board and glass selections to go with your design. Bring your own design or use one from patterns provided. Tools can be obtained at The Stained Glass Shop, 6344 W. Oil Painting

Students will learn several techniques and exciting ways to paint in oil. Covered areas will include composition, building a painting, mixing paint and handling brushes, as well as value, chroma, color temperature, blending, bridging, subtractive painting, and the laws and rules of good oil painting.
