April 2, 2009 Support Student Scholarships Car Raffle and Golf Tournament Benefit Students Avondale, Arizona - April 2, 2008 3 More Weeks to Get Your Car Raffle Ticket! The 10th Annual Estrella Rotary Foundation's New Car Scholarship Fundraiser kicked off March 10, 2009 to benefit the scholarship programs of Estrella Mountain Community College and the Estrella Rotary Foundation. Only 1,750 tickets will be sold at $30 each. The first prize winner will receive a pre-owned 2008 red Ford Mustang convertible; the second prize winner will receive $1,000; and the third prize winner will receive $500. Tickets can be purchased through April 24, 2009 by phone at 623-935-8777, or through April 26, 2009 online at www.driveforsuccess.org. The drawing will be held April 28, 2009. EMCC to Host Scholarship Golf Tournament: Saturday, April 18, 2009 Estrella Mountain Community College, in partnership with the Hispanic Leadership Forum del Oeste, will co-host a Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Wigwam Resort and Spa on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Estrella Mountain Community College and the Hispanic Leadership Forum del Oeste have a long-standing partnership that includes a dedicated focus on working with the community and West Valley high schools to address the issues of increased dropout rates of students and a statewide shortage of teachers.
