April 30, 2009 Student Art Showcase and Art Walk Community Invited to Attend Student Art Showcase and Art Walk, Friday, May 8, 2009 Avondale, Arizona - April 30, 2009 - Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC), a Maricopa Community College, will host a Student Art Showcase and Art Walk on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate the many accomplishments of EMCC's art students. The event will be held in the college's Plaza Gallery, followed by a walking tour of the art in the display cases on campus. All participating students have been enrolled in at least one art course during the 2008-2009 school year. The artwork on display will include pieces by EMCC's Artist of Promise winners, work that was juried and on display at Tiburon Aquarium and Restaurant at The World Wildlife Zoo, and a variety of pieces by other EMCC art students.
