November 2, 2009 Native American Heritage Month Celebrated at EMCC Estrella Mountain Community College will celebrate Native American Heritage Month during the month of November with a series of events created to bring awareness to and in celebration of the national month of Native American recognition. The events are free and open to the public. Wednesday, November 4: Kick-off event with award-winning performances by Randy Kemp, flutist; Derrick Davis, hoop dancer; and a guest appearance from Miss Hopi. Events will take place 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the college's Montezuma Courtyard.
