Student Success Fair a SUCCESS

Almost 1000 students participated in EMCC's first Student Success Fair (March 26 & 27). The success could not have happened without the entire campus' contributions, including:

  • faculty bringing their classes to the event, opening their classes to student visits and staffing the 'welcome' area
  • student ambassadors promoting the event
  • employees staffing event tables and engaging students in a dialogue about their completion goals
  • facilities setting up the 'zones'
  • administration supporting the 'trial run'
  • students visiting the zones and being engaged with setting their graduation goals.

A big THANK YOU to all who planned, staffed and engaged students during the two-day event!  Student recipients of the SSF prizes were:

  • $100 scholarships: Nancy Salazar, Sarah Boyer, Leticia Ruiz
  • EMCC backpack/thumbdrive: Teri Whitaker, Thalia Del Toro, Rebecca Smith, Melissa Smith
