First Steps in the Enrollment Process
  • Obtain and submit a Student Information Form (SIF) to Enrollment Services or enter information online at http://www.emc.maricopa.edu/onlineservices

  • Contact Disability Resources & Services at 623.935.8935 if you need accommodations or alternative print format materials
  • Apply for Financial Aid at: http://www.estrellamountain.edu/financialaid

Complete the Course Placement Test
Placement Test scores are required for:

  • Enrollment in an English, math, or reading course
  • Degree seeking students
  • Financial aid applicants who are not high school graduates or do not have a GED
  • Students whose primary language is not English

Review the Catalog and Schedule

  • Review the Catalog to learn about the types of degrees available
  • Review the Schedule for classes offered during the semester
  • Decide whether you’ll attend full time (12+ credits) or part time (less than 12 credits)
  • Decide whether you’ll take day, evening, or online classes or a mixture of these

Seek Assistance Planning Your Education
Academic Advisors [available on a walk in basis]:

  • Assist students in developing an educational plan
  • Explain the various degree programs
  • Explain the college’s policies from the Catalog and Handbook

Counseling Services [available by appointment]:

  • Personal growth through counseling
  • Academic and educational planning
  • Vocational assessment and planning
  • Life management development

Select Courses and Register

  • Complete and submit the registration form to Enrollment Services
  • Pay tuition and fees
  • Obtain EMCC Photo ID Card
  • Purchase text books
  • Attend New Student Orientation
  • Attend class!
