Medical Billing and Coding
SouthWest Skill Center (SWSC) program at EMCC
The Medical Billing and Coding (MBC) program prepares individuals to enter the field of health insurance processing and coding functions. Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Completion (CCL).
Compliance demands by federal legislation now require the electronic transmission of patient records. Health care industries must ensure accuracy and privacy through the skills of quality, trained Medical Billing and Coding professionals.
Convenient for your busy schedule, this program may be completed in approximately 48 weeks.
Medical records and health information fields are expected to grow at a much faster rate than average occupations, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, due to the increase in medical testing, diagnosis, procedures and treatments. This leads to a higher demand for medical billing and coding workers in physician and outpatient care health clinics, hospitals, insurance companies, nursing care facilities, and federal government settings.
