Inside the Program

EMCC is one of eight Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) colleges that offer an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Nursing. Graduates of this nursing program are eligible to take the national licensing examination (NCLEX-RN), through the Arizona State Board of Nursing, to become licensed registered nurses.

At this time, EMCC offers a full-time traditional nursing program for those students who have completed all prerequisite requirements and the Advanced Placement Nursing Program, which provides students who have completed a Practical Nursing Program, the opportunity for "advanced placement" into the MCCDNP at Block 3.
