Degrees and Certificates
The general education programs at EMCC lead to academic certificates and degrees, based on the successful completion of required coursework.
Associate degrees are awarded to students who have successfully completed the classes required in a chosen career pathway curriculum. For many students, it is a two-year program that serves as a foundation for transferring to an university for completion of a bachelor's degree. Most associate degree programs require successful completion of 60-64 credit hours.
Certificates are awarded to students who have successfully completed the courses in a specific area of expertise or emphasis. The programs leading to certificates are designed to provide skill proficiencies that enhance academic and career opportunities.
