ANSWER: All Linux/Red Hat courses count towards an Associates Degree in Linux Networking. So, you are killing two birds with one stone this saves you time and money. Additionally we have very flexible elective classes which will support your and your company's learning needs. For example, you may wish to have additional network skills. Consequently, you can achieve a Cisco or Microsoft Certification at the same time which counts toward the Linux Degree and Certification program with no additional cost or time. Employer surveys indicate that prospective employees are most likely to have the "edge" by completing an Associates Degree. Top

QUESTION: What text books or supplies must I purchase to take Red Hat Linux classes at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) Red Hat Academy?
ANSWER: All student Workbooks are included at no additional charge when you enroll in the RHCT program at EMCC. These workbooks are online for you to read and study on the Red Hat Academy site. This site is available on a 24/7 basis, so you may access your materials from anywhere you have Internet Access. Also there are no fees over and above the cost of the courses. As an example, the cost of each academy course is the same as any Microsoft or CISCO courses per semester hour. Additional, EMCC uses removable drive systems in our classrooms, and each student is issued their own dedicated hard drive for each class. These drives remain in our classrooms for your use during class or during open lab times. Top

ANSWER: Red Hat does not allow students to have electronic copies of their workbooks; however, they permit the school to print copies of the workbooks for students. These workbooks will be sold in the College Bookstore at a nominal cost. Top

Where is your office and the Red Hat Academy located?
ANSWER:
My office is located on the second floor of the Estrella building; my office address is EST237. The Red Hat Academy currently utilizes two classrooms, EST243 and EST249. The main classroom where open labs are held is in EST243. Both classrooms are located next to each other on the second floor of the Estrella building. A directional map is located here.
