Rod Freeman's Bio
Rod's professional experience in education includes teaching for EMCC since 1990.  He is a native Californian and has a wide range of professional educational experience over the past 25 years including teaching Administration of Justice Courses, English Composition, English Humanities and Humanities classes.  His academic memberships include Sigma Tau Delta,  the International English honor's society and Phi Theta Kappa, the international professional education association.  Mr. Freeman has been involved in community service and Service Learning throughout his professional and academic career.

Rod's educational experience includes completion of the accelerated studio Arts program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.  His Master of arts degree is in Contemporary/Medieval English Literature and Mythology from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.  Mr. Freeman has also completed post-graduate courses in Medieval Literature and Language at the University of Arizona and Arizona State University.

Rod's teaching emphasis continues to be English Composition and the Humanities.  He continues to teach regular and Honors courses in English Composition, Language, Mythology, Shakespeare, Survey of English literature, and Ideas and Values in the Humanities.  His classes emphasize critical thinking and communication, including a service learning component.
