Pete Turner's Bio
|
Pete received his Masters degree in Educational Administration from NOVA University. He is starting his 28th year with the Liberty School District, and has been the Superintendent for 4 years. He sits on a number of advisory boards, including the Arizona Teacher Education Partnership Commission, sponsored by the Maricopa Community College District. In 1997 he was named as the National Distinguished Principal of the Year. As an adjunct faculty teaching Education courses at EMCC, he facilitates Service Learning experiences for his students in his own elementary school district, and other local districts. Pete requires 30 hours per semester of on-the-job service in classrooms, and his students regularly share their observations and learning through writing, speaking, and online assignments. |
