What is Kuder Journey?
Kuder Journey is an all inclusive online career resource tailored to fit your needs. Here you can take career assessments, conduct career and major exploration, select and save your career, major, and educational goals as well as receive information on resumes, interviewing and job searching. Make sure to utilize Kuder to identify career questions to discuss with a career counselor. Keep in mind that completion of all three assessments will give you the best list of suggested occupations based on your results.
Why should I take the career assessments?
Taking the time to learn about yourself is an excellent way to make great career choices. Whether you are a current student taking classes or just figuring out what career path is best for you, Kuder Journey will help you explore options based on the following three assessments:
1. Kuder Career Search with Person Match
In this assessment, you will rank sets of activities from what you would like to do most to least. Once completed, you will be able to see how your interests match with possible career choices. Take the time to read about other individuals who work within your top five suggested career fields.
2. Kuder Skills Assessment
In the second assessment, you will be asked to estimate how comfortable you feel performing the tasks given based on your current skill level. When completed, find out which occupations will allow you to best utilize those skills.
3. Super's Work Inventory
The last assessment will ask you to indicate how important the given work-related values are to you. Once you are done, find out how your values match with possible career options.
How do I get started?
If you are interested in taking the Kuder Career Assessments, stop by the Career & Transfer Center to get started. Batch codes are required. Contact the Career & Transfer Center at 623.935.8740 for the assessment batch code. After completion of all three assessments, please make an appointment with a counselor at 623.935.8909
