Frequently Asked Questions
What is New Student Orientation?
New Student Orientation is designed to provide you with the resources you’ll need to maximize your potential and successfully manage your college experience. This is a great opportunity to meet and interact with new friends as well as take a campus tour. In addition, orientation reviews critical school policies and expectations and will help you feel ready to start your college experience.
What happens if I miss my Orientation?
New Student Orientation is mandatory. If students miss their orientation date they will need to register for the next available orientation. Students can register by selecting the New Student Orientation Signup Form link on the top left corner under the Frequently Asked Questions link. Several orientations are offered throughout each semester for your convenience. If you do not attend an in-person orientaion you will be enrolled in an online (CANVAS) orientaion course.
Why do I have to attend New Student Orientation?
New Student Orientation is a district-wide mandatory enrollment step. All new students must complete a New Student Orientation. By attending New Student Orientation, students are more prepared to be successful and learn the ins and outs of being an Estrella Mountain student.
As our motto states, "Your success is our success". Students who attend New Student Orientation get a head start on the path to becoming a successful college student.
