EMCC General Scholarship Application
The General Scholarship Application is closed for 2011-2012.
The 2012-2013 Application will be available June 15, 2012
The General Scholarship Application is used to award many different scholarships throughout the entire academic year. It is not used to award one particular scholarship. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be notified in you student center on my.maricopa.edu.
Eligibility Criteria:
Only those with a lawful presence in the US may qualify for MCCCD scholarships or federal financial aid. Any information you provide about your legal status when you apply for financial aid or scholarships may be subject to mandatory reporting to federal immigration authorities under AZ law. This does not apply to applications for the private scholarship funds held in and distributed by the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation.
You must complete a Student Declaration of Citizenship or Status form to be eligible for to receive a scholarship using the General Scholarship Application. If this form is not on file with enrollment services, you will not be considered for a scholarship.
Scholarship Essay Information
This application requires you to complete five essay questions. You should complete these essay questions using a word processor, then copy and paste your completed answers into the appropiate textbox in the application. The essay questions are listed below. Be very detailed in you explanation.
- How will a scholarship assist you in covering your college expenses? Please indicate your financial need.
- What are your career and educational goals. What is your plan to achieve these goal?
- Explain how you have demonstrated leadership at work, at school, and in/or in the community?
- What life experiences have shaped who you are today and what challenges have you overcome in achieving your education?
- Please describe your past or current community service experiences. Include all types of experience
