The EMCC Honors Program is dedicated to helping you reach your highest potential. We offer a rigorous multi-disciplinary curriculum that emphasizes active, small-group learning supported by related extra-curricular activities.
Financial Benefits
There are two ways to receive money as a member of the Honors Program: the Presidents' Scholarship* and the Honors Achievement Award (formerly known as the Collegiate Scholarship/Fee Waiver Award). Any student receiving money from either scholarship are required to take a minimum of one – three credit honors class. All scholarship recipients are automatically admitted into the Honors Program at EMCC.
Recent graduates from NCA-accredited high schools in Maricopa County are eligible to apply for the Presidents' Scholarship, provided they rank in the top 15% of their graduating classes in the 6th, 7th or 8th semester and enroll in the academic year following high school graduation without having enrolled in any institution other than a Maricopa Community College.
Continuing and transfer students may apply for the Collegiate Scholarship/Honors Achievement Award Program after having accumulated a minimum of 12 credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.250.
