Placement Testing--Maricopa County Community Colleges use the Accuplacer & Writeplacer tests to assist students and advisors in determining initial course placement in English, Reading and Mathematics courses. Placement testing is a required enrollment step for new students. Placement testing is free. Nursing Entrance Exam--The HESI A2 exam is required for students applying to the Maricopa Community Colleges District Nursing Programs (AAS degree at any Maricopa Community College.) The fee is $40. The HESI A2 exam is a four-hour timed test. Students who are testing on Monday through Thursday should come in by 1 p.m. Students who test on Fridays should come in by 12 p.m.
E.S.L. Testing--The CELSA exam is a 45-minute timed exam for English Language Learners.
Proctored Tests--Students attending other colleges or universities may request to have a test proctored here with proper protocol and scheduling. The cost for proctored exams is $20 per test. Call 623-935-8860 to schedule a proctored test.
GED Testing--EMCC no longer offers GED testing. You can visit the GED website at www.ged.org for information on GED test preparation and test sites. The following local sites are available for GED testing:
