Honors

G) Graduating from the Honors Program

To graduate from the Honors Program, you need to earn 15 Honors points and an MCCCD-cumulative GPA between3.50 and 3.75.

For every class you complete an Honors project in, you earn points based on the number of credit hours for that class.  For example, if an English class is 3 credit hours, then it would count as 3 points.

Classes chosen for Honors projects must be a minimum of three different prefixes.  Examples of prefixes are BIO, MAT, ENG, etc.  They must also be above the 100 level, letter grade and minimum of 3 credits.  Your Honors projects must also be completed at EMCC.

You may complete more than one Honors project per semester, but you will only be monetarily awarded for one.  Any additional Honors projects successfully completed during the semester will be counted as Honors points.

Presidents' Scholars who complete 15 points prior to their fourth semester are still required to complete an Honors project every semester they are a Presidents' Scholar..
