Certificate of Insurance

The Certificate of Insurance is obtained when a Supplier is providing a service or installing goods on campus property or a privately owned property that is being used for a college event, including performing, speaking, presenting, etc.  For more information and for the requirements, visit the EMCC Fiscal Services page for Certificates of Insurance.

The Event Planner/Requisitioner is required to request a certificate of insurance from the supplier.  We understand that not all speakers will have $1,000,000 liability but we are required to ask to satisfy due diligence.  If the speaker does not have the $1,000,000 liability, the liability can be reviewed by Fiscal Services.  If the supplier is being paid, then submit the request for review of liability as part of the CFS requisition. The risk review can be added to the requisition, like a quote would be added.
