Adjunct Faculty

Adjunct Faculty are the part time employees that play a crucial role with Estrella Mountain's Learning College standards. As professors they are the main contact with student when classes begin. For more information about adjunct Faculty please visit MCCCD's Adjunct Faculty Association Web Page.


Craft workers are the employees who keep the college up and running and provide expert knowledge such as carpentry and HVAC. For more information on Craft Employees please visit our District Web Page

Professional Staff Association (PSA)

The Professional Staff Association is committed to providing an united voice for Professional Staff employees by encouraging professionalism, education, advancement, friendship, diversity and volunteerism. Maintenance and Operations (M&O)

M&O employees are dedicated individuals that support learning through the beautification of our grounds and upkeep our facilities.

Management, Administrative and Technological (MAT)

MAT employees are board approved Maricopa Community Colleges employees whose salary is more than 50% paid from Current Unrestricted Funds or Current Auxiliary Fund 2.

Public Safety

Residential Faculty

Residential Faculty are the appointed professors that, like Adjunct Faculty, are a crucial role with Estrella Mountain's Learning College standards. For more information please visit our District Web Page.


RPS workers are the employees who support all the workers at EMCC in what they do. They help out in every department of work and different environments of work. RPS workers truly are a valuable resource to every department. RPS workers include Timecard/Temporary and Student Workers. Federal Work-Study

Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a need-based work program designed to assist students in meeting their financial obligations while attending school. As eligibility for these positions is dependent upon "need," students must complete the financial aid process before eligibility for FWS can be determined. If you have not yet applied for Federal Financial Aid, you may apply on-line at FAFSA website.

Soon the Maricopa's five staff employee groups (Adjunct Faculty, Crafts, PSA, M&O, and MAT) will be combined and become one classified staff employee group. This will allow us to operate as ONE workforce, no longer divided by labels and divergent interests. This change will allow us to focus on the commonalities we share as employees, particularly when it comes to the qualities that create a positive employment experience for us all. This will bridge the commonalities we share as employees when it comes to what qualities create a positive employment experience.
