Community Innovation Summit

ASU Entrepreneurship + Innovation and Estrella Mountain Community College will host the Fall 2020 Community Innovation Summit Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. For more information or to sign up, visit our Community Innovation Summit event page!

The inaugural Community Innovation Summit was a partnership between ASU Entrepreneurship + Innovation, Glendale Community College, and Estrella Mountain Community College. This two-day event on February 21-22, 2020 provided emerging innovators an opportunity to learn and apply entrepreneurship and problem-solving skills to build real-life solutions to challenges facing our community.

The event brought together the best creative minds in the West Valley. Community college students of all majors, backgrounds, and experience worked together to build community and practice business entrepreneurial skills needed in today's workforce.

The event started with a presentation of real challenges faced in our community and participants also brought problems they wanted to solve. Diverse work teams got feedback from local mentors, created real-life solutions, and did a "pitch" of their innovative ideas to a panel of community leaders for a chance to win scholarship money.
