The Learning First Tour

Learning is fun - T-shirts with guiding principles
Learning is fun - T-shirts with guiding principles

The success of all learners; students, employees and community members, depends on the hard work that each learning facilitator does on a daily basis. As a result, the college has embraced the principles and philosophies of the Learning College model, which "places learning first and provides educational experiences for learners anyway, anyplace, anytime" (O'Banion, 1997)

What does it mean to be a Learning College? More importantly, what does it mean to us?

The "defining us: The Learning First Tour" was designed to answer these questions and discover how each one of us has a positive impact on learning through our unique contributions. This highly interactive tour was a way to build common language and exchange best practices, which enrich the learning experience for all. The results of these sessions were published in the "Defining Us: The Learning College Yearbook" in late spring 2011.
