The Process for Institutional Effectiveness provides an assessment system that measures the achievement of the college’s Mission and Goals. The primary purpose of the process are accountability and continuous improvement.
The Process for Institutional Effectiveness is one of nine College-Wide Plans that are identified in Estrella Mountain's Strategic Planning Model. The plan also represents one of three major assessment efforts in that model. These formalized assessment efforts include the Student Assessment Plan (SAP). The Student Assessment Committee (SAC) assesses student learning outcomes and program review evaluates the effectiveness of programs.
Program Review utilizes both student learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness outcomes and metrics and is conducted for all academic divisions and student services on campus. All programs undergo review every three years according the program review schedule.
