Computer Applications Technology

The Computer Applications Technology program at EMCC provides students with the practical and technical skills leading to a rewarding career in many business environments. Successful students will receive an Associate in Science, Emphasis in Computer Science (AS) or a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Computer Applications Technology.

Technology fluency is increasingly necessary as a core competency in most business roles; this program is meant to provide a foundational technical skill set. Courses include office applications skill-building including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, presentations and financial record-keeping, as well as fundamental production ability in website creation and skills in desktop publishing for print layouts.

When you enroll in an Information Technology program, you become part of the Networking Technologies Institute at EMCC, which helps students succeed by offering educational networks, scholarships, internships and other professional opportunities within their selected field(s) of study.
