Computer Hardware and Desktop Support

Plug in to your future!

The Computer Hardware and Desktop Support program at EMCC provides students with the practical and technical skills leading to a rewarding career in many environments. Successful students will receive a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Computer Hardware and Desktop Support.

EMCC’s trains students to work in an entry-level computer maintenance and help-desk position. Students are provided the opportunity to apply technical concepts, fundamentals and interpersonal skills in a help-desk environment. Hardware courses help prepare students to challenge the CompTIA A+ hardware certification exams - combining the technical skills with communication skills to effectively troubleshoot, determine solutions and repairs.

When you enroll in an Information Technology program, you become part of the Networking Technologies Institute at EMCC, which helps students succeed by offering educational networks, scholarships, internships and other professional opportunities within their selected field of study.

Special requirements: None.

After completing the CCL, you will be well-prepared to begin your career path into one of many computer science industries, complete an AAS or continue your education to transfer to a university for a bachelor's degree.
