The Industrial Manufacturing and Emerging Technologies program at EMCC provides students with the practical and technical skills leading to a rewarding career in one of many areas. EMCC offers several certificates and an associates focusing on different aspects of the art. Successful students will receive an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Industrial Manufacturing and Emerging Technologies, or a Certificate of Completion in Electrical Systems Technology, Mechanical Systems Technology, Mechatronics Level I or Power Systems Technology.
Classes are taught by instructors who currently work within the industry, using the latest technology and practices, sharing their personal knowledge and experience to prepare you to work in this very diverse industry that blends maintenance, manufacturing and operations.
EMCC’s courses provide training for all skill levels, including those who are new to the industry, experienced technicians enhancing their credentials, and students who plan to transfer to a university for an applied Bachelor degree program. EMCC provides track options customizable to each student’s needs and career goals, including to support unique employer training requests, or to apply relevant previous work history and military credits for fast-tracked completion.
The Industrial Manufacturing and Emerging Technologies program is a member of the Arizona Regional Advanced Manufacturing Professional Upgrade Project (AZ RAMP UP), a four-college consortium that received a $10 million federal training grant from the United States Department of Labor. Students enrolled in the program have access to grant-funded specialty services such as career planning assistance and enhanced lab equipment.
