Performing Arts/Theatre


This program is intended for both the beginning actor and the non-actor who are interested in exploring the basics of the craft. Students will get to know the Actor’s Instrument.  They will learn how to analyze a character, a scene, and a script. Students will use their voice and body to explore vocal and physical expression as both relate to acting and performance.  Throughout the program, students will study and discuss the basics of theatre etiquette, staging, presentation, and the jargon of the industry.   

These techniques are the foundations of acting and performance. In addition, this program cultivates self-confidence, which serves anyone who may deal with public speaking, such as:
