Secondary Education

Reach the future!

The Secondary Education pathway at EMCC provides students with the prerequisite needed to pursue a university transfer and obtain a rewarding teaching career for grades 7-12.

The Secondary Education pathway is accompanied by an endorsement which names the content area(s) the holder is qualified to teach such as English, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, etc. Education courses offered at EMCC provide a strong foundation for a career in teaching and include field experiences and practicums to provide students with real-world classroom experiences. Take a look Inside the Program for a glimpse as to what you can expect as a Teacher Education student.

When you enroll in an Teacher Education program, you become part of the Teacher Education Institute at EMCC, which helps students succeed by offering educational networks, scholarships, internships and other professional opportunities within their selected field of study.
